Message from August 11

We have to work at Christian living.
Through Jesus God invites each of us to live a fruitful Christian life but we have to respond to that invitation with our own initiative. We have to be watchful for Christ’s coming not just for the ultimate coming but for the time when each of us ends our earthly life. That watchfulness involves being steadfast in our Faith with determination, being flexible with the individuality of others, being winsome in our relationships, and emphasizing the positive in what Jesus can do in our lives. We should pray for help in being brave during challenging times, in being strong in God’s strength, and in being circumspect in our upright living to glorify God and shine through God’s love for us.
Be watchful and ready. Are we ready for Christ’s coming?
