As the days of Christmas drift towards us like the waves on Georgian Bay it is a good time for us to remember that this is our time to “prepare the way of the Lord”. (Mark 1:3)
For many it is a hectic time of year. It is challenging to balance the shopping, the planning, the family excitement, the greetings, and the social activities, even the loneliness . . . with the spiritual centering and reflecting that will keep us anchored in our Faith.
Try using inspiring music, Christmas hymns, and prayerful reading to settle your soul in preparation for celebrating not just the one-time coming, but the continual coming of Christ our Saviour, the same Jesus of Nazareth who dominates every element of history and reminds us that God’s Peace and Joy is really what we celebrate and what we must live, even in challenging times.
If you are in the area please join us on Christmas Eve to celebrate together.
